I have been a New York Rangers fan for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Staten Island NY “We Bleed Blue”. I remember going to my first Ranger game at the age of 7 with my dad. I was amazed from the moment I walked into the garden, the lights, sound of the crowd and how loud it gets when they score. I was hooked and started playing hockey around the age of 8 and have not stopped yet. I have played house league, travel, high school, and now men’s league. I have traveled to Canada and Minnesota to attend hockey camps. My son Ryan started with the Old Bridge Jr Knights with their Learn to Play and now in his 4th year of travel as a Squirt. I have had the opportunity to coach two Bantam teams and witnessed them win Gold at Lake Placid. I have also been fortunate enough to coach my son for the past 4 years and we both volunteer our time at Learn to Play frequently. The Old Bridge Ice Arena is our second home. we are raising funds for rink improvements and to grow the OBJK youth hockey program. In this charity game, there will be Old Bridge hockey coaches playing with NY Rangers players. The money we raise goes directly back to our organization. In order to participate in this event, we are asked to raise $500. Thank you for supporting this great cause and youth hockey and always remember as Mario Lemieux said “Every day is a great day for hockey”
