Colton Orr was born March 3, 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A graduate of the WHL, Orr played four seasons (99-2003) with stops in Swift Current, Kamloops and Regina before making his professional debut during the 2002-03 season.

A hulking winger, Orr suited up for one game with the AHL’s Providence Bruins during the 2002-03 season before playing his first full season as a pro in 2003-04. 

After one more season in the AHL, Orr became a regular fixture in the Bruins lineup in 2005-06 before having his rights acquired by the New York Rangers in November of 2005.

In his time with the Rangers, Orr would establish himself as one the league’s true enforcers and upon becoming an unrestricted free agent he was signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He retired from professional hockey in 2016.
